Generate legal content. That's the short version. The list below is what's explicitly out of bounds under the terms of service.

Prohibited content

  • NSFW, sexually explicit, or pornographic content
  • Nudity and graphic violence
  • Any content involving minors
  • Hate speech, discrimination, and harassment
  • Political propaganda
  • Impersonation
  • Spam and misinformation
  • Uploading NSFW images or videos as inputs to any tool, including material sourced from NSFW or pornographic websites
  • Attempting to bypass or trick the content filters, including reworded or encoded prompts designed to evade detection

There are separate rules for generating images of real people. Those are covered in likeness, consent and real people.

Inputs count too

The rules apply to what you upload, not just what you generate. Submitting an NSFW image as source material, for face swap, enhancement, image-to-video, or anything else, is treated the same as trying to generate it, and that includes content saved from adult websites. It doesn't matter whether you have rights to the material.

Prohibited behavior

Beyond what you generate, the terms also prohibit hacking, scraping data from the service, and unauthorized use of the app. You also can't reproduce, republish, license, or make derivative works from MagicShot's own materials.

What happens if you break the rules

It depends on what was broken.

NSFW attempts. Each blocked NSFW generation returns only 50% of its credits, see why was my generation blocked. Repeated attempts can suspend your account for 24 hours, and the violating content is removed. Content that violates this policy can be removed within 24 hours of us detecting it, whether that's at generation time or later.

Illegal content. Anything unlawful, including any content involving minors, ends the account permanently, immediately, without a warning and without a refund.

Everything else. For other violations, enforcement escalates: a warning, then posting restrictions, then suspension, and permanent termination for repeat or serious abuse. MagicShot reserves the right to suspend or terminate access at any time.

If you think a decision was wrong, you can appeal it. Appeals are reviewed by a person, and the decision after review is final.
